May 5-10, 2019
Early May in Jackson WY is a wonderful time of year here as the trees are green, but the mountains are covered in snow. The weather is mild and the crowds haven’t yet arrived which makes for a more relaxed experience.
Join instructor Joe Brady in one of the most beautiful landscapes in the United States, for this guided photography experience. The Workshop is limited to eight photographers to ensure individual attention and plenty of time to discuss the approach to landscape photography from capture to edit to print.
Grand Teton is Joe’s favorite place to shoot because the incredible vistas and landscapes are both majestic and beautiful. As the light and atmospheric conditions change, new images present themselves hourly. Joe has visited Grand Teton at least once a year for the past ten years and knows the best places, the best times and the best sites to capture great photographs.
Each day’s location will be decided based on what the clouds are doing and where the best opportunities lie, but we’ll include all of the iconic spots including Schwabacher Landing, Oxbow Bend, Jenny and Leigh Lakes and of course the famous Moulton Barns. We will also take a day to head up into Yellowstone to photograph the towering Lower Yellowstone Falls. We’ll no doubt see some wildlife as well possibly including bison, moose, elk, pronghorn and perhaps even a bear!
Tuition includes field and classroom instruction and expert guiding. Transportation, lodging and food are not included, but we will negotiate a special rate at our headquarters hotel. We will make sure to include extar days should you wish to arrive early and/or stay late in this amazing location.
Joe will be staying at the Hampton Inn Jackson Hole $132/night
There are lots of lodging options in downtown Jackson, WY. Besides the Hampton Inn, The Lexington Inn and Suites, The Anvil, The Antler, The 49’er and more are in town. Having a hotel in downtown Jackson makes it easy to visit restaurants and shops in the evenings, but there are many good hotels outside of downtown that are a short drive. Rates run from $84/night up to $250 and more with a lot of choices in the $125-$175/night range.
Lot’s of places to eat in jackson, but we will definitely have a night at the Gun Barrel – a unique place featuring game from the region.
And by the way, with the exception of classroom times, non-shooting spouses are welcome to join us at no charge for all of our touring!
