You’re invited to a special Super Moon Photography Workshop in Cocoa Beach, Florida. A historic landmark on Florida’s Space Coast, the world-famous Westgate Cocoa Beach Pier stretches 800 feet over the Atlantic Ocean and is the perfect place to capture incredible photo opportunities like this one.
Full moons are amazing….but Supermoons are mind-blowing! We have the privilege of seeing three in the first three months of 2019. When a Full Moon takes place when the Moon is near its closest approach to Earth, it is called a Super Full Moon. Because it’s so close to Earth, a Super Full Moon also looks about 16% brighter than an average Full Moon.
On January 22, we witnessed the Super Blood Wolf Moon which also graced our world with a lunar eclipse. On February 19th, we will see the largest of the 3 Super Moons, making the moon look the biggest it will look all year long. Then again on March 21st, we will see the final of these three unique lunar experiences!

This class is open to beginners and advanced photographers looking to improve their knowledge of moon photography. You must have knowledge of your own Digital SLR camera that allows you to shoot with manual exposure and manual focus. You will get the BEST results from a lens that is 200mm or beyond, as you will not be able to fill the frame with the moon with anything lower.
If you do not have a telephoto lens, you can rent one for $75.00 to use during the workshop. Telephoto lens rentals are insured and ready to use (Canon, Nikon, Sony lenses available with zooms from 200-500mm). To reserve your rental, please choose the camera lens rental type above.
