March 3 – 8, 2019
Creative Vision, Landscape & Nature, Travel, One-of-a-Kind
There are many ways to define what constitutes a successful photograph. Ultimately, though, we should all strive to create images that intrigue our audiences and leave them wanting to know more about our featured person, subject, or place. Working alongside Kevin Lynch, participants of this workshop delve into the elements of successful photography while capturing magical moments in the Sierra Nevadas.
Together we re-enact the photographic journey of our great mentor Ansel Adams and his fellow Sierra Club members. We begin our journey in Death Valley at an elevation of 282 feet below sea level and complete it at the top of Mammoth Mountain, which, at a height of 11,020 feet, offers us spectacular 360-degree views.
In the evenings Kevin demonstrates Adobe Photoshop techniques, reviews your work, and shares his own work and technical experiences. You are given one-on-one support to enrich your style, enhance your techniques, and rethink your approach to photography. At the end of five days you go home with a print collection of your new images.
Come discover the serenity, color palette, and historic ghost towns of the deserts as you explore Mono Lake and the majestic Sierra Nevada mountain range.
